Fix the towpath at Lock 14

The 1.2 km of towpath between Lock 13 and Lock 14 has washed out. Walkers, anglers and boaters are wading through mud. We need £40,000 to resurface it before spring.

Calder Waterways Trust and its appeal are invented. Gift Aid's 25p for every £1 is the real rule.

What this demo does

  • Shows progress to the target, and how far your gift would take it.
  • Turns the amount into what it pays for, from the charity's own costs.
  • Works out Gift Aid and collects the declaration it needs.
  • Handles one-off and monthly gifts.

What a real one adds

  • Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe.
  • Gift Aid declarations stored for your claim to HMRC.
  • Thank-you emails and an optional message on the page.
  • A map or chart of the work as the money comes in.

What it costs

Usually a website or a single tool: £1,500 to £4,000.

Built for your business, with your content, your branding and the parts you need. Every build starts with a free conversation and a fixed quote, and you own the code.

Questions people ask

Which payment provider does it use?
Usually Stripe, which takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you already use a fundraising platform, we can send donors there instead.
How is Gift Aid handled?
The page asks for what a Gift Aid declaration needs, including the donor's name and home address, and keeps a record for your claim. You make the claim to HMRC as you do now.
Where do the impact figures come from?
From your own costs. You set them in an admin page, and the page says how they're worked out.
