Software and websites for schools and trusts

Steve teaches, so we know how schools work and how they buy: purchase orders, termly budgets and sign-off from the business manager. Our own platform, SubjectHub, is used in more than 100 UK schools.

Fixed quotes. Purchase orders welcome. You own the code.

What we build

  • School website health check, £195.

Statutory information and Ofsted-readiness checklist, accessibility scan, mobile and speed check. A written report with the fixes in order.

  • Tools for the jobs schools do.

Booking for parents' evenings and trips, cover rotas, dashboards from your MIS exports, and tools for one department.

  • School websites.

Fast, accessible sites you can edit yourself, checked against the statutory information list before launch.

  • Products schools already use.

SubjectHub for teaching and assessment, EAL Translate for pupils new to English, and Publisher Converter for old Publisher files.

  • Advice.

AI in school, Google Classroom and Microsoft 365 set-up, from £250 for a half day.

  • Data protection.

We sign a data processing agreement, keep data in the UK or EU, and help with your DPIA.

How a project runs

We build quickly and put working software in front of you early. Decisions get made on something real, not a document.

  1. 01

A conversation, then a fixed quote.

We talk through what you need, then send a written scope and a fixed price. Purchase orders are fine.

  2. 02

    Something you can use, early.

A working prototype at a real web address, so you react to software you can click, not a specification.

  3. 03

    Built in short rounds.

You see progress as it happens and can change direction while it's still cheap to.

  4. 04

    Launch and handover.

You own the code, the domain and the accounts. We write the guide for whoever will use it.

  5. 05

    Support, if you want it.

A monthly plan covers hosting, updates and small changes. Or we hand over and step back.

Questions people ask

Do you take purchase orders?
Yes. Most of our school and council work is paid by purchase order on 30-day terms.
Where is our data kept?
In UK or EU data centres unless you ask otherwise. We sign a data processing agreement and help with your DPIA.
Who owns what you build?
You do. The code, the domain and the hosting accounts are in your name, and you can take them to another developer whenever you like.
What if we only need something small?
Small jobs are welcome. Plenty of useful tools cost less than a laptop.
