Bespoke software development in Sheffield
We build web applications, platforms and tools for schools, charities, councils and businesses: logins, roles, dashboards, payments and email, with a fixed price before we start. Our own platform, SubjectHub, is used in more than 100 UK schools.
Fixed quotes. Purchase orders welcome. You own the code.
What we build
Portals and dashboards.
Somewhere for staff, customers or members to log in and see their own data, with the right access for each kind of user.
Booking, ordering and quoting.
In BrightWorks, customers book a clean in a few minutes, cleaners see their day, and the office sees the whole team's week.
Payments and billing.
Card payments and invoices through Stripe. SubjectHub takes payment from schools by card or purchase order.
AI features, with limits.
We decide with you what the AI may and may not do, test it on your real cases, and give staff a way to correct it.
Out of the spreadsheet.
Referral and case tracking, job and stock lists, and member records, moved out of a shared spreadsheet into a proper tool.
Taking over a project.
If someone else started it, we begin with a short paid review of the code, so the quote we give you is honest.

How a project runs
We build quickly and put working software in front of you early. Decisions get made on something real, not a document.
- 01
A conversation, then a fixed quote.
We talk through what you need, then send a written scope and a fixed price. Purchase orders are fine.
- 02
Something you can use, early.
A working prototype at a real web address, so you react to software you can click, not a specification.
- 03
Built in short rounds.
You see progress as it happens and can change direction while it's still cheap to.
- 04
Launch and handover.
You own the code, the domain and the accounts. We write the guide for whoever will use it.
- 05
Support, if you want it.
A monthly plan covers hosting, updates and small changes. Or we hand over and step back.
