Websites and software for councils and charities

Accessible websites, website reviews and tools for parish and town councils, charities and membership bodies. We know the rules your website has to meet, we work to a fixed quote, and we take purchase orders.

Fixed quotes. Purchase orders welcome. You own the code.

What we build

  • Websites that meet the standard.

Parish and town councils now confirm in their annual return (AGAR Assertion 10) that their website meets WCAG 2.2 AA and has an accessibility statement. We build to that standard and write the statement with you.

  • A review of the site you have.

A fixed-price look at your current website: accessibility, mobile, speed, security and cookies, with a written report of what to fix first and a call on the findings. £395.

  • Report a problem.

Residents tap the map where the problem is, say what it is and add a photo. Everyone can see what's already been reported, which cuts duplicate emails. Try the demo below.

  • Appeals and Gift Aid.

Appeal pages that show how close you are to target, what each gift pays for and what Gift Aid adds, with one-off or monthly giving.

  • Out of the spreadsheet.

Referral and case tracking, member and volunteer records, and event booking, moved out of a shared spreadsheet into a proper tool.

  • Data protection.

We sign a data processing agreement, keep your data in the UK or EU, and help with your DPIA.

How a project runs

We build quickly and put working software in front of you early. Decisions get made on something real, not a document.

  1. 01

A conversation, then a fixed quote.

We talk through what you need, then send a written scope and a fixed price. Purchase orders are fine.

  2. 02

    Something you can use, early.

A working prototype at a real web address, so you react to software you can click, not a specification.

  3. 03

    Built in short rounds.

You see progress as it happens and can change direction while it's still cheap to.

  4. 04

    Launch and handover.

You own the code, the domain and the accounts. We write the guide for whoever will use it.

  5. 05

    Support, if you want it.

A monthly plan covers hosting, updates and small changes. Or we hand over and step back.

Questions people ask

Do you take purchase orders?
Yes. Most of our school and council work is paid by purchase order on 30-day terms.
Where is our data kept?
In UK or EU data centres unless you ask otherwise. We sign a data processing agreement and help with your DPIA.
Who owns what you build?
You do. The code, the domain and the hosting accounts are in your name, and you can take them to another developer whenever you like.
What if we only need something small?
Small jobs are welcome. Plenty of useful tools cost less than a laptop.
What does AGAR Assertion 10 ask about our website and email?
From the 2025/26 return, smaller authorities in England confirm their digital and data arrangements: a generic email address on a domain the council owns, a website that meets WCAG 2.2 AA with an accessibility statement, an adopted IT policy, and compliance with UK GDPR. The wording is in the Practitioners' Guide.
Can you check our website against the accessibility standard?
Yes. Our full website review includes an accessibility scan, mobile and speed checks, and security and cookie checks, with a written report of what to fix first. It costs £395. If you want the fixes done, we quote for them separately.
